Good afternoon and Happy New Year to all,
This week in 5A, we have had a very productive start to the new year. In Science, we are beginning to investigate our new topic of Sound and I'm sure everyone will enjoy getting back into the lab for a few investigations this term!
In English, we are learning about biographies and how to write them, which should culminate in a wonderfully written biography from everyone.
Our new topic is Lead the World, which I'm sure you will have all seen or heard about during the Art Festival preparation. Speaking of the Art Festival, I must say how pleased I am with everyone's hard work and dedication to finishing their artwork off before the holidays and how great it looks now! If you didn't manage to make it on Wednesday evening, we have all of the work outside our classroom and our class canvas is just outside the staff room if you would like to see it or make any bids to buy it.
Our Star of the Week this week is Martin Carnogursky. He has come back into school with a renewed enthusiasm for reading and I hope this continues throughout the year. Well done, Martin!
Finally, we have our class photos being re-taken on Tuesday 13th January so hopefully we can get everyone looking lovely after PE first thing.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Mr. B
