The children have been using speaking and listening skills this week when teaching the class about a world leader of their choice (will be continued next week). In Topic the children were engaged learning about Rosa Parks and how her refusal to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus helped end public segregation. They then went onto learn about Martin Luther King's famous "I Have a Dream" speech, emphasizing his belief that someday all men could be brothers. The children used this inspiration to write there own 'I have a dream' speech for how they would like the World to be today.
Please look at the Head of Year notice page for more details of our learning and what we'll be covering next week.
