Wow what a busy week! We have had inspectors in this week to see all of the wonderful things we do at JPS. The children have shown how well-behaved and hardworking they are and I'm sure our visitors we be really impressed.
We have studied lots of lovely poetry this, finishing with the Japanese poetry Haiku. We have looked carefully at our word choices and the imagery we use such as similes, metaphrs and personification. Next week we will complete out poems and I'm sure they are going to be great!
In Science we have been learning about the function of the lungs and have even investigated our lung capacity in the lab using balloons and water bottles! We turned the classroom into the respiratory system with oxygen and carbon dioxide being carried around by the blood between the muscles and lungs!

And what a great way to finish the week with: World Book Day! Well done to all of the children who dressed up, here's just a little selection.....
Well done to Yash, who is new to JPS and 5D for winning the Achievement Award last week. And congratulations to Tiara for winning this week. Always so much effort from you Tiara, thoroughly deserved!
